Something I didn't believe at first...

Was that people actually made money on the internet. Not too long ago someone sent me the link to this: http://www.wellness360.com/ I was told that by filling in a fitness plan and what I ate every day, that they would pay you. Skeptical? Yes I was! I only signed up because they were offering a coupon to CVS that I could use. But, then I got to reading about it and saw that by filling out what I ate everyday, they credited me points towards cash. They pay at the end of every quarter, so I thought I'd try it since it was the end of a quarter and see if it actually worked. Well, yesterday, I got a check in the mail for $8.52 for only a week's worth of my entries. I was shocked. Now I'm pretty motivated thinking maybe by the end of next quarter I can have a decent sized check! :) I'm not saying you have to, but if you do end up doing it - could you use my referral code? It's AHM802015. The only thing I have against this website is that it's fairly slow. But, it could just be my super slow computer as well. (If you have any (cheap)suggestions for making my computer faster - I'm willing to listen!!!)

Climbing back on track...

(Hopefully)! It's been a horribly busy week here at the Brenton residence! One, Philip had a fever for 5 days (missing 3 days of school!). Ick. Then there was Grandparents Day at school, which I was in charge of and for which I made 150 flower shaped sugar cookies. Wish I'd taken a picture - they turned out pretty cute! And, Caitlin was on her school trip to Catalina Island - I'll post more about that hopefully soon! If that wasn't enough, there was cookie dough delivery and the school district's carnival that I had to be involved with. Boy was I ever glad to see Saturday! But, spring is in the air - I can smell citrus blossoms from my family room - and I'm hoping for a slower week coming up! Just wanted everyone to know we hadn't dropped off the face of the earth entirely!

Something that made me happy...

I came home one day to find this growing in the middle of my driveway! The kids loved having to drive over it everytime we came home! It just made me smile!

Pinewood Derby

Another year at the pinewood derby - another unique car from the Brenton Family! :) Here is this year's entry. It didn't win any speed records - but it sure was funny! (If you can't tell for sure, the mouse is caught in a trap on top of the car!)

A Snowy Hike?

Well, maybe not! In February, we all had a couple days off for Rodeo Days and spent one day hiking Pima Canyon. It was kind of fun because we got to cross the water about 10 times. We wanted to make it to the saddle, but didn't - but we were really close! Up near the top, we ran into some snow patches. There was really only enough to make some snowballs - but it was enough to have some fun with!

Cool Car!

Caitlin had to make a cardboard car to take to a "drive in movie" at church. It turned out really neat - custom wheels and everything! She put a lot of time into it and it looked really sporty and cute! Love her license plate!

Science Fair project...

Another year of Science Fair is over... sigh... phew! I think it's just as much time and effort for the parent's involved just in the prodding and making sure it got done! Philip's project this year was about whether or not sports engineered food like Shot Bloks, etc made you go faster than regular food like apples. He got a 1st place in the school science fair - not too bad - though he's really unhappy - he was expecting a Grand Prize! Tomorrow we get to take it downtown to the regional Science fair! Good Job Philip!

Rock Climbing...

Like we needed something else to keep us busy - but Rik has gotten really into going to the rock climbing gym and has convinced us to do the same. Philip is awesome at this! I can barely make it to the top of easy stuff, and he just laughs and climbs to the top of whatever I have just done 2 or 3 times in a row! What a strong kid he is! Rik is really loving rock climbing. He wants to do it all the time. He's getting pretty good - he climbs a whole bunch of stuff that I can only stand there in amazment and watch!
And - look at this place we go - it's the strangest thing to look at - a warehouse type place with 2 stories of places to climb everywhere! It's almost mind boggling to look at!

Surprise - what was in the garden?

I was really bad this year about keeping up with the garden. I had really good intentions, but, after being at work all day, then coming home to cook/clean/run kids around, it wasn't too appealing at 10pm. But, something still happened out there - broccoli! Imagine my pleasant surprise when I walked out in mid February and saw this! It was some of the best broccoli I have ever had!
